HELIO HMIs are structured similarly to websites, based on pages. They feature a variety of page types, with each page serving a specific purpose. Content such as dashboard pages or parameter pages is organized on separate pages and accessed as needed. This system is particularly powerful thanks to overlay pages, which are displayed as an additional layer over the current view. This allows context-related information to be displayed without interrupting the workflow or losing track of the big picture.
A typical example is accessing machine parameters directly from a dashboard: clicking on a module opens its parameter page as an overlay. The main view remains visible in the background while users can adjust settings or check details. The size and positioning of the overlay can be customized as needed.
Overlays are ideal for parameter changes, alarm details, maintenance notes, or measured value displays. They bundle important additional information without forcing constant navigation between pages. In this way, they support efficient and user-friendly work processes in HELIO. Learn more in the video “Page Overlays.”
